I translated a text today about a laudable non-profit organisation and support group for HIV-positive drug addicts in Estonia who are seeking public support for the launch of a rehabilitation programme for young addicts - something that is all too lacking in Estonia, despite the country having the highest rates of drug addiction and HIV in the European Union. The programme is based on the AA 12-step model and is designed to help young people overcome their addiction and achieve a more stable life, avoiding a prison sentence as a result.
